Donate February 6-20
The 2022 campaign, which will run Feb. 6-20, will support Afghan children and families resettling in Nebraska after being forced to leave their country.
An estimated 1,000 refugees are expected to resettle in our state and they depend on our support. Due to the rushed evacuations, many of them will need basic supplies.
Donations from this year's shoe drive will be given to Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, a nonprofit that will help them find housing, furnishings, food, clothes transportation and other essential needs many of us take for granted.
Let's help these families get off on the right foot with some NEW shoes!
Please note: We've added new ways to participate without having to shop in retail stores -- see below!
We are collecting NEW kids' shoes, sizes toddlers to teenagers!
Unfortunately, used shoes cannot be accepted. Please avoid flip-flops and special occasion shoes. The best shoes are ones youth can run and play in safely. For example, Crocs (10/10 moms recommend), trainers, and running shoes.
Toddlers: sizes 5-13
Youth: sizes 1-7y
